We have suspended submissions at this time and will not be accepting any new submissions.
Please send us 3-5 of your best poems. We are always looking for poems about hunger, whether it be physical deprivation or hunger for something else in life. Be creative. But the theme is open. Just send us your best unpublished work.
Please wait one calendar year from your date of publication before submitting again.
Submission Deadlines: We are not accepting submissions at this time.
For each submission, we ask for a minimum six-dollar donation that will benefit local and national food banks. If you are not sure about food banks in your neck of the woods, consider Share Our Strength, a national organization that helps to feed children. 100% of the submission fee goes to fight hunger!
A submission fee donation of just $6.00 will put nine pounds of food on the table of hungry Americans!
Make a six dollar or more donation to the food bank of your choice.
After you make your donation, email us three to five of your best poems on this issue's theme. Include in the body of your email the name of your food bank, the location of your food bank, and the amount of your donation. We will keep track of what is donated so we can celebrate you!
We accept only previously unpublished poems.
We welcome multiple submissions as long as you submit at least a $6.00 donation for each submission of up to five poems.
Include the title(s) of your poems on a cover sheet, along with your name, contact information, and a brief bio.
Your name and contact information should not appear anywhere on your poems!
All poems should be single spaced. Please do not do any special formatting of poems!
Send this cover sheet and your poems (up to five only) in a single Word Document.
